Shopping like never before

This application solves the problem of a visual-oriented search in online shopping. The user can effortlessly upload any image, and get product suggestions based on it. Moreover, machine learning technology made it possible to learn the users' taste and adapt their feed' content and product recommendations accordingly.


The challenge

Of course, the challenging part is in the fact that this is a new revolutionary approach in e-commerce, implemented only by a few companies and only entering the market. We tightly collaborated with AI recognition partners while designing the interface. Another challenging factor was a rigid time frame - a work that would typically take six months was completed
in two months.

Our approach

The tight time frame required our work routine to incorporate intense short sprints and everyday communication with a client. Together with the client, we tested the app among millennials to get feedback on mechanics and usability, and in the end, to ensure that the app would stimulate users to stay loyal. For that purpose, machine learning was used to track the user's taste and behavior.


Our solution

Taking into account that our primary target audience comprised of Instagram-savvy millennials, we tried to create an interface that would speak to them. For example, we guided them through on-boarding flow with catchy and trendy fashion illustrations. Additionally, we used a lot of swipe navigation throughout the customer journey, to simplify the choosing process for the end-user, who wants to find a quick match.

This project remains our favorite
